EUCS half time - Ranking Updates

Finally, one month after Elite Invite, we got our next Ranking Update!

Who made it into the top 16, and who dropped out? Ravi Vasudevan and Maartje Keulen updated the Ranking and looked at all the moves, new teams and potential EUCF candidates. If you missed it, take a look here: https://solidsport.com/ultimatefederation/watch/in-or-out-windmill

This ranking update includes results from:

  • Mistrzostwa Polski Mixed 2024 Runda Wiosenna

  • UKU Windfarm

  • Championnat de France N1 OPEN (Phase 2)

  • DFV-Open-Pokal

  • UKU Regionals

  • Windmill

Before we jump in quick reminder:

As we approach the end of the transfer window, it's important to remember that all teams must have their final roster by July 15th. This is the last opportunity to make any adjustments! After July 15th, all team compositions will be set in stone for EUCF.

Additionally, here is a rules clarification: EUCS rosters at EUF-approved Events

As discussed on the show, teams are allowed to have non-EUCS teammates in their EUF-Approved tournaments as long as they don’t play against other EUCS teams. If teams notice some irregular players, please first inform the other team to make the adjustments and use SOTG. If the issue cannot be resolved, please inform the competition committee so they can handle it.

Mixed

Heck - jumping into the ranking by defeating Glasgow during UKU Regionals. Once they have more games, we expect their position to change. Additionally, every Team needs to get 10+ games into the system to be eligible for the EUCF.

Padova Rangers and FRUBB - Due to the lightning situation during the Spring Tour, the competition committee ultimately decided not to count their game. Ravi will address the topic in more detail during the show.

Notable absence of Elite Invite Teams in the Top 4. With only the Summer Tour remaining, it will be tough for everyone to gain enough points.

The mixed division looks very unpredictable this year, and the Summer Tour events will surely have a couple of surprise wins and maybe even wildcard winners. These wildcards can affect the teams currently in the “blue” position.

Women

The Women’s division was predicted to be the most competitive one this season. At Elite Invite, we had 7 Nations represented. Will there be a clear separation of power during the EUCF? As long as the current top 10 makes sure to get to their obligatory 10 games, jumping up into these ranks looks nearly impossible.

Notable Names that still have to prove something:

Currently at Rank 15, Box Vienna cannot rest until the Summer Tour rankings are revealed. In the Trnava Edition, they will face 3SB, FABulous, and Eastblock in a tough battle for the Wildcard during summer.

WUF., Tequila Boom Boom, Seagulls, Dublin Gravity and SYC will be looking out to improve their ranking by some margin to reach the top 16.

Notable Teams not playing the Summer Tours:

  • Iceni

  • Grut

  • YAKA

  • LMU

  • Bristol

Open

With 5 available Wildcards at the Summer Tours, we are in for additional spice. Be sure to check out the Teams competing in each Summer Tour to prepare the best game plan. https://eucs.ultimatefederation.eu/summer-tour

Can Cotarica stay within the EUCF qualifiers after their win at Italy Nationals? Will Alba, Catchup, Heidees, Quijotes or KFK have a shot at the Wildcard? If not, will they reach the critical 16?

Terrible Monkeys had a tough battle at EUCR last year, will they jump up the ranks?

Notable Teams not playing Summer Tour:

  • Grut

  • Cotarica Grandes

  • Tchac

  • Iznogood

They will know if they can book their tickets to EUCF only during our last In or Out show of the season - August 19th

Mark your calendars for the next 'In or Out' show on July 16th. It will provide a comprehensive overview of what to expect in the final stretch of the regular season.
